Suggestions:
need a slip in hard case for the ipod so that I can still keep my ipod in the case and use my iTrip. If I purchased a hard case, I would have to take it out to use the hardcase because i can not plug it in all the way.

The Skins are good choices for the use of your iPod with the iTrip. If you want even better protection, we can recommend using a Sleeve where your iTrip is sticking out slightly at one end and your iPod protected inside the Sleeve.
