I understand. Checkout on ours is a 3 page process - shipping selection, billing selection and final confirmation (the standard oscommerce installation). We have many options available for shipping and an increasing number available for billing. We did consider a consolidated checkout page but putting that much information on a single page will be information overload for the customer.
The account is necessary for support and accounting reasons. In fact, the account registration only consists of a single form that is absolutely necessary as it captures information necessary for the order, such as the customer's delivery address and contact information for the delivery. |
