Re: Customer Feedback - Like: selection taht degalgirl's website didn't have - Dislik

Thank you for your return order despite your bad experience of a stretched skin the last time. No where do we advertise that the skins are reusable because the mileage varies depending on the removal technique. We do advise customers to remove skins only when they are certain that they do not want them anymore.

Our skin tips at http://www.istyles.com/skintip cautions customers about the need to be careful during the removal process. This URL is printed on many of our skins but we'll look into a more prominent promotion of these skin tips in the near future.

If the skins are not removed, they will most likely outlast the life of the device, but it is hard to keep the skin from stretching during the removal process because cast vinyl is simply stretchable if pulled hard, especially so if the skin has been left on the device for a relative period of time. Cast vinyl has many other more important advantages, such as the ability to withstand heat (such as those given off by devices), conform to curved surfaces and resist curling, but it is just more stretchable than the usual variety of (cheaper) vinyl.

Out of more than 100k skins, there has thus far only been a single incident where the customer claims that his clickwheel was damaged because he removed the skin at http://forum.istyles.com/project.php?issueid=28 , but we're pretty sure that that incident was not directly caused by the skin removal and the statistics prove so.

Of course, care must always be taken whether be it during the application or removal process in all situations. The last thing we want is for iPods flying into the air and onto the ground or out of the window as skins are being "ripped" apart.
